When you slide into your car in the midst of the summer heat, the last thing you want is hot air blowing out of your vents, especially when temperatures are in the upper 80s and low 90s. But don’t panic just yet. Instead, roll down your windows to let some of that warm, stale air out. Then check these features in your car to see if it’s a quick fix.
- First, make sure your thermostat is set to cool. Yes, this may seem like an obvious first check, but we’ve all forgotten to push the AC button at least once.
- Next, check that your fan setting is on “auto” and not just “on” because this will blow out air even if it’s not cool.
- Finally, point your fans in the direction of the windows. This may seem silly, but it will actually cool down your vehicle faster.
